Yihui Wang

Yihui began studying guitar in October 2004 with Ren Haipeng; she then studied with Li Le in 2007. In July 2011, she won first place in the “Manshi cup” Classical Guitar Invitational, and third place in the “Martinez cup” National Classical Guitar Professional Invitational at the conservatory in Tianjin. In July 2013, she traveled to Germany to attend the Iserlohn International Guitar Festival, and in September of the same year she was admitted to the Music Middle School affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music where she studied with Mr. Ye Dengmin. In August 2017, she was admitted to Fred Fox School of Music at the University of Arizona where she is pursuing her Bachelor’s of Music degree under the guidance of Professor Tom Patterson.
