Andrea Roberto, born in Foggia on 26 October 1995, began studying guitar at the age of 4 with his father., At the age of 9 he was admitted to the "U. Giordano" conservatory in the class of Maestro Sandro Torlontano, with which begins a particular didactic path that leads him to obtain, at the age of 14, the diploma with honors. Later he decided to follow Maestro Aniello Desiderio both in Naples and at the International Academy of Koblenz in Germany. Finally he completed his studies at the Maastricht Conservatory (Netherlands) with the maestro Carlo Marchione.

His artistic career includes numerous experiences and awards that have led him to perform in various countries including: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Finland, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and the United States.

He has participated in radio broadcasts such as Vatican radio, radio hoy por hoy of Albacete (Spain)

 

-In 2006 he received the "INNER WHEEL ITALY" award as the best student of the U. Giordano Conservatory.

-In 2007 he was invited to perform in the radio show "Conservatori in concerto" at Radio Vaticana

- In 2009 he won the "Joven Promesa" award at the international competition Jose Tomàs - Villa de Petrer (Spain).

- In 2010 he won the "Walter Cococcia" award as the youngest graduate of all Italian conservatories;

-In 2010 he won the first prize "Juvenil" in the international competition Jose Tomàs _ Vila de Petrer.

-In 2012 he won the first prize in the international competition of pescara Andres Segovia.

- In 2013 he won the first prize at the Stefano Pisa International Strata Competition.

-In 2016 he won the first prize in the international competition "Twents" in Enschede (Netherlands)

-In 2016 he won the first "profesional" prize at the prestigious Jose Tomas-Villa de Petrer, Spain international competition.

-In 2017 he recorded his first CD "El Viaje de la guitarra italiana" with the record company JSG Records in Castellon de la Plana (Valencia). Recently the tracks on the disc were broadcast on the internacioal radio espanola RTVE- Madrid.

In November 2017 he was included in the European Euro String project, sponsored by the European Union which in 2018 led him to perform in 14 guitar festivals in Europe.

On June 1, 2019 he received the gold medal at the prestigious Parkening international Guitar Competition held at Pepperdine University Malibu- California.

He currently has an assistantship position in the class of Prof. Tom Patterson at the University of Arizona-Tucson.
