Grant Miller

Grant Miller is a guitarist from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. After receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Manitoba, Grant moved from Winnipeg to Tucson to study for a Master’s degree at the University of Arizona. Since arriving in Tucson, he has been an active member of the guitar community, and can often be heard at concerts and events organized by the Tucson Guitar Society and the University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Arizona and working as a teaching assistant to Professor Tom Patterson. Grant has been the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships for both performance and academics, and has been a prizewinner in numerous guitar and music competitions in both Manitoba and Arizona. In addition to his university studies, Grant has had the privilege of studying in masterclasses with many of finest guitarists in the world, including David Russell, Sérgio and Odair Assad, Zoran Dukic, Judicael Perroy, Marcin Dylla, Lorenzo Michelli, Fabio Zanon, and many others. Grant is an accomplished performer in many styles beyond classical music, and maintains an active performance and teaching schedule that runs the gamut of genres and styles performed on the guitar.
